Supermicro said stronger demand for its AI platforms would put revenue for the three months to September at US$18.5 billion to US$19.5 billion, exceeding its previous forecast. The period marks the opening quarter of the company’s 2027 fiscal year.

Its earlier revenue guidance was US$14.5 billion to US$15.5 billion. The revised range has a midpoint US$4 billion higher than that forecast. Supermicro disclosed the preliminary estimates after trading ended in the United States.

The company projected a gross margin between 12.0% and 12.5%, compared with its prior expectation of 10.4% to 10.8%. It attributed the improvement to the mix of customers and products.

Supermicro cautioned that the estimates are unaudited and have not been reviewed by its auditor, and that final figures could differ materially. Full results are due on 3 November. In June, the company had outlined plans to raise US$7 billion to fulfill US$39 billion in AI server orders.
