Roosh X and Flashpoint Capital have provided Numica with US$21 million through a combination of debt and equity, the New York start-up said. The funding will support additional acquisitions of accounting firms owned by people nearing retirement.

Numica began operating in June 2025 and made its initial acquisition in New York several months afterward. Its acquisition count now stands at seven practices. The company seeks businesses with yearly revenue ranging from US$700,000 to US$5 million, typically serving local customers including dental practices, restaurants and hair salons.

Acquired practices move their staff, client base and operations to Numica’s AI platform. Its software performs bookkeeping, prepares tax filings and manages billing and practice administration, with accountants checking the results. Customers are expected to continue working with their existing accountants.

For the first business it purchased, Numica reported a profit margin of 52% after two months, compared with 37% before. It expects the margin to reach 70%.

Flashpoint, based in London, had already invested equity in Numica before adding the growth debt loan. Flashpoint Growth Debt associate partner Ilja Velickis said the financing would enable faster acquisitions.

Numica’s founders are Slava Orekoff, formerly a senior vice president at SAP, and Victor Lysenko, who founded and ran the Singapore-based accounting start-up Osome.
