ASM lifts 2027 sales forecast by about 24% on AI chip demand
The Dutch equipment maker says the revised outlook puts its 2030 sales goal within reach three years early.

ASM International has increased its revenue forecast for 2027 by about 24%, Bloomberg reported, with chip demand being driven by companies building AI data centers. The Dutch chip-equipment supplier now projects sales exceeding €5.7 billion, compared with its July outlook of above €4.6 billion.
The company said that trajectory would put it on course to achieve its 2030 sales target three years early. A planned share repurchase would cover up to €300 million of stock.
Quarterly results also surpassed analysts’ estimates. Third-quarter sales reached a record €1.16 billion after rising 44% at constant currencies, while net income dropped to €308.1 million. ASM’s shares listed in the United States climbed 6.7%.
ASM’s machines apply thin layers of material to silicon wafers during chip production. Memory manufacturers and businesses making advanced AI chips are driving demand for its equipment. Its customers include TSMC and Intel.
Chief executive Hichem M’Saad said customers were acting quickly to raise output amid tight capacity. ASM warned of strain in its own supply chain and said it was working alongside suppliers and customers to accelerate shipments. Dutch peer ASML also said its current output would be insufficient to meet demand in 2027 or 2028.
