Educated in the United States, Dr. Acosta received his undergraduate degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. He then performed his medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where he was a Lozano-Long Presidential Scholar and received his medical degree in 2007. He completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology in 2011 and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine in 2014.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology & maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women's health.
Licensed to practice medicine in Texas, Dr. Acosta is affiliated with St. Luke's Baptist Hospital and University Hospital.
