London X City Helps People Find Love During The Pandemic

Where meeting up for a casual coffee or drink was fairly easy before the pandemic, the need to maintain social bubbles for safety requires people to be more creative (and patient). For instance, London X City recommends that everyone wear a mask on their first date (though this may not be necessary if social distancing can be maintained). Given that the crisis is far from over, getting sick can delay a romance far more effectively than being unable to see each other’s faces.

Where social distancing is concerned, London X City acknowledges that deciding on an actual safe distance to maintain is tough, especially given the lack of clarity offered by official sources. However, many bars, pubs, restaurants and so on have also taken this into account, taking the initiative to accommodate their guests in a safe manner. The article points out that many tourist spots have seen a huge drop in visitors during the pandemic, so a location that previously took hours of standing in a queue to get in may be quite peaceful and inviting today.

The one major precaution the publication advises the public to take is to avoid making plans to show physical affection. Kissing, for instance, is what many people would hope a successful first date would end in. However, this is not a wise idea at the moment. Instead, the publication says, “Wait until you have known each other for a couple of weeks. If you have not come down with the virus, it should be safe to kiss.”
