On March 2, 2023, three-time Olympian and father of two Todd Sand (a.k.a Sandman) suffered complications from a heart attack sustained while coaching his skating team during the Junior World Championships in Calgary, Canada. He has been fighting for his life in ICU since that time.
Supporters have created a Give A Hand fundraising campaign to provide funds needed for Sand’s medical care and recovery. To date, this campaign has raised $140,000+ of the $500,000 goal set.
Sand’s wife, Jenni Meno, and children are grateful for the support received during this unimaginable journey. Those who know him say Sand’s positive energy and love for life have touched everyone he’s ever crossed paths with. Organizers for the Give A Hand campaign encourage others to consider donating or simply sharing the campaign to help raise more support for Sand’s medical care and recovery.
