The Expecting Parent site consists of a wide selection of curated videos featuring content specifically aimed at helping new or expecting parents to prepare for the arrival of, and to cope with, their newborn child, in a bid to make it a less overwhelming and more enjoyable experience for them.
The site breaks the video content down into various categories, making the information easier to find, including the following: how the female body changes during pregnancy; decisions for baby, such as choosing an obstetrician, tips on how to teach a young child, the birthing process and more; navigating life changes, such as coping and adjusting to the new addition to the family; and, dad’s corner, hints for fathers regarding how to co-parent.
In addition, a ‘how to’ category contains information from experts on topics such as changing a diaper, swaddling a baby, dressing a newborn, calming a crying baby, bathing a baby, putting a baby to sleep, answers to questions about strollers, and more. There are also some useful product reviews, such as best high chairs, changing tables, choosing a crib, and so on.
The Expecting Parent site has a featured videos section, that shows a range of clips that may be of interest to new visitors, including delivery room tips and what happens in each trimester; a recently added videos section, featuring the newest addition videos such as adjusting to a second baby, adjusting to parenthood, and so on; and a most viewed section showing the most popular and trending videos, such as labour pain management, best convertible car seats of 2016 and three weird things that happen to pregnant women.
The site also features a parenting community that provides giveaways and discounts to members, and it has an online store for ordering necessities for the newborn, such as various brands of bulk diaper packs, baby wipes, bedtime pants, changing pads, humidity monitors, musical toys, bath time toys, LED night lights, food containers, infant spoons and a host of other items.
